The reason is that the repealed code had easier, modern formatting and language throughout the code. This repealed code was easier to read, to follow, to find subjects and so the Planning Commissioners say - it was easier and quicker to get building projects done. In order to engage the community we thought it might be best is to review Article by Article the 2005 Zoning Code. This is the zoning code that Harbor Springs currently follows, and it is this code that has preserved and protected the town for decades. Since 2005, it has been updated, with the most recent amendments posted in February 2022. Read each article - they are super easy to read.
